The Material
Why titanium?
Because the material matters. ASTM F-136 is the titanium alloy specified for surgical implants: nickel is not part of its composition, and it weighs about half as much as steel. Nickel is one of the most common causes of metal allergy, so we chose an alloy without it.
It matters most in a fresh piercing, where jewelry sits in healing skin for weeks or months — which is why professional piercing associations list implant-grade titanium among the materials for first piercings.
